Silk Screen Printing

Silk Screen PrintingSilk Screen Printing – This is one of the most modern printing processes for colour work and is well within the scope of the amateur who has little or no knowledge of the art of printing.

With the processes of and the equipment described, it will be quite possible for you to print your Christmas cards, menus, greeting cards, posters, book covers, etc.

Silk screen prints in colour can be made on paper, cardboard, wood, glass, and on practically any surface. The process is inexpensive and you can build your own equipment very cheaply and produce the most professional results after a few trials.

This is the simple process. The paint is forced through the fine meshes of a silk screen, attached to a stencil. The stencil has the effect of keeping the paint back and prevents it from going through the material and thus forms the printed design.
