Straight From The Heart: Bryan Adams rock ballad

Straight From The Heart: Bryan Adams rock ballad

Straight from the Heart is a rock ballad, which was the first single from Bryan Adams’ first hit album Cuts Like a Knife. The song was Adam’s’ first song to reach the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching #10. It also peaked at #32 on the Adult Contemporary chart, the first Bryan Adams single to reach that chart.

Adams wrote the song when he was 18 years old in the late ‘70s. It was first recorded by Ian Lloyd in 1980, on the album Third Wave Civilization three years prior to Adams’ release. Later, the song was covered by Bonnie Tyler for her album Faster Than the Speed of Night, the album released same year with Cuts Like a Knife.

Straight From The Heart: Rock Ballad

Bryan Adams - Straight From The HeartI could start dreaming but it never ends,
As long as your gone we may as well pretend.
I’ve been dreaming,
Straight from the heart.

You say it’s easy but who’s to say,
That we’d be able to keep it this way.
But it’s easier,
Coming straight from the heart.

(Chorus)
Ohhhh, give it to me straight from the heart,
Tell me we can make another start.
You know I’ll never go
but as long as I know
It’s coming straight from the heart.

I see you on the streets from other time,
And all the words would just fall out of line,
While we’re dreaming
Straight from the heart.

(Chorus)
Ohhhh, give it to me straight from the heart,
Tell me we can make, one more start.
You know I’ll never go,
But as long as I know, it’s coming straight from the heart.

Ohhhhh,
Go and leave me darling.

Ohhhhh,straight from the heart,
Tell me we can make one more start
You know I’ll never go, as long as i know
you give it to me now,
Straight from the heart,
Tell me we can make one more start.
You know I’ll never go as long as I know
It’s coming straight from the heart
Give it to me
ohhhhh, nooo
Ohhhh, nooo

Straight from the heart,
You know I’ll never go as long as I know,
It’s coming straight from the heart.
