Why are some plants raised from stalks while others from seeds?

Plants can be propagated by two methods viz through seeds and through vegetative plant parts like stalk roots, suckers, clones, cuttings, etc…

Plants with fewer and poor quality seeds, not suitable for multiplication, are propagated through vegetative parts. Plants capable of producing a large number of quality seeds are multiplied through seeds.
