Longest selfie stick: James Ware breaks Guinness World Records record

London, UK – February 29, 2016 – James Ware, a YouTube personality in Britain, used bits of tape and pipe to built a selfie stick that measured 9.57 metres, which sets the new world record for the Longest selfie stick.

The Guinness World Records world record for the longest selfie stick measures 8.56 m (28 ft 1 in) and was achieved by Ben Stiller (USA) at the premiere of Zoolander No. 2 (Paramount: UK) in London, UK, on 4 February 2016.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people tagged in a selfie; it is 268 participants and was achieved by Huawei (Bolivia) at the Plaza San Fransisco in La Paz, Bolivia, on 19 July 2015.

Currently, the Guinness World Records world record for building the world’s longest selfie stick is held by Ben Stiller, who used his 8.56 metre monopod to click selfies at the London premiere of “Zoolander 2” earlier this month.

British YouTube personality James Ware have built the world’s longest selfie stick.

Using bits of tape and pipe that cost him around $62, he built a selfie stick that measured 9.57 metres.
