Germany Guinness World Records: Most expensive tyre

Essen, Germany – May 24, 2016 – Zenises has presented the world’s most expensive tyre at the firm’s Reifen Show launch event; the Z-branded 295/35 ZR21 107Y XL tyre at the centre of the record attempt was produced in the Sentury Tire factory in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China; the world record has set the bar high at US$600,000 for a set of four tyres.

Photo: Z Tyre from Zenises has entered Book of World Records when its Z1 tyre was recognised as ‘World’s Most Expensive Tyre”. The tyre, decked with 24 Carat gold and specially selected diamond stones, was valued at $600,000.

The Guinness World Records world record for the largest simultaneous car tyre burn-out involved 103 cars in an event organised by Street Machine Summernats at the Street Machine Summernats 28 event in Canberra, Australia, on 1 January 2015.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people simultaneously rolling car tyres (tires); it is 323 participants and was achieved by Koyu Group (Japan) at Maishima Sports Island, in Osaka, Osaka, Japan, on 28 November 2015.

The Z-branded 295/35 ZR21 107Y XL tyre at the centre of the record attempt was produced in the Sentury Tire factory in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China.

The tyre, decked with 24 Carat gold and specially selected diamond stones, was valued at $600,000. Zenises displayed the tyre at Reifen Essen 2016.

According to Zenises, the diamond stones were added with the assistance of Joaillier Prive and its Italian artisan jewellers before the tyre was returned to the UAE for the application of gold leafing by the same craftsmen who have worked on the new presidential palance in Abu Dhabi.
