A Novel Flower Bed
Have you a pair of old motor-tyre covers that nobody wants? If so, why not make this novel flower bed with them? Just drop them down somewhere, one of top of the other, preferably on a stretch of the lawn, up near one corner. Drive four wooden stakes into the ground inside the covers and equidistant, to keep the latter from moving. Then, fill up with good soil and plant your flowers. Naturally, you can grow anything in this bed-geraniums, pansies and a host of other plants. A good idea would be to push half a dozen stakes into the ground to form a pyramid and plant sweet peas. They would make a lovely show.
