Making A Silk Screen Unit – First of all, it is necessary to make a wooden frame to hold the screen. This is made from 2 in. wide by I in. deep white pine wood. You will require two pieces 24 in. long and two pieces I 2 in. long.

To make the frame, you should assemble the four pieces of wood. Work on a flat table over a newspaper so that the frame will be rigid and quite even. The corners are joined together with a hinge, held by four small screws.

For added strength, gum the ends of the wooden pieces to make the join square. Sandpaper both sides until quite smooth and free from any imperfections.
