Raised Letter Posters – The ordinary lettered poster is quite effective but if it is possible to use raised letters, it will give the showcard a three dimensional appearance and will be outstanding in its appeal.
The method is simple. Cut out letters using card of the thickness of ordinary postcards. Then gum tiny pieces of wood below each letter and fix into place on the poster and the result will be like the diagram.
The letters should be painted in brilliant colours and the most spectacular efforts can be made from this idea. To keep the mounting board quite straight and rigid (these boards always seem to bend and wrap), paste strips of stiff paper diagonally across the back of the cars, as illustrated. This will straighten up the card and keep it quite rigid.
