Acidity (Amalpitta) — Ayurveda’s view — Acidity in ayurveda is known as ‘Amalpitta’. It is the state when unhygienic dietary habit increases Pitta’s level in a healthy human body which, in its turn coverts into acids and disturbs the digestion process.

Division according to ayurveda:
- Udharvgaami amalpitta.
- Adhogaami amalpitta.

- Daily eating of ‘gurh’ or ‘mishri’
- Neem flower or leaf
- Bitter gourd
- Amla powder with lukewarm water after meal is the best therapy (but in regular use)
- Aloe Vera juice
- Mulaathee powder
- Good amount of pomegranate juice
- Pumpkin juice
