Rural experiences – reliving, organizing and curating experiences showcasing the rural life in Mandu, it’s art, culture, heritage and cuisine through Village Tourism centered activities in collaboration with the locals which shall benefit the local community economically and socially as well.

The three-day famous “Mandu Festival” began at the historic town of Mandu in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh on December 30, 2021. The festival will culminate on January 03, 2022. The festival is organised by the state government of Madhya Pradesh to showcase each and every aspect of the ancient Mandu city, ranging from food, music, history & heritage, art & craft etc.

During the festival, the state culture and tourism minister Usha Thakur inaugurated the newly constructed Dino Adventure Park and Fossils Museum in Mandu and construction of Astro Park building at a cost of Rs 59 lakh. The Dinosaur Park is the first modern fossil park in India which has 24 eggs and other fossils of dinosaurs on display.

Mandu Festival:

Mandu cultural heritage are the logos of conducting Mandu festival over the past several years Phuchanen in November-December. The three-day festival is celebrated in collaboration with the district administration by Ustad Alauddin Khan Music and Art Academy (Bhopal). The work of the artists and remuneration payment is done by the Academy in this event. The district administration is playing the role of coordinator for promotion, tents, accommodation and organizing. So Mandu purpose of celebration Malwa that between the art lovers and cultural capital Mandu and more popular, as well as Mandu of dissemination to on this form that city special importance to both the country and abroad to become a tourism center. The following programs are included in the Mandvi festival.

Adventure Sports & Water Sports

Adventure Sports is also being organized to familiarize the tourists with various variations. These Parasaling, paramotor, rock climbing, Rapling, make organized sports like ride, Kaiking, roving.

Cultural Programme

The cultural evening is the focal point for the celebration of Mandu festival. Sitar, Taal, Sarangi and Violin playing under cultural evening; Bharat Nityam, Kalbelia, Synthia, Languria, Odissi, Kathak etc. dance, Kavi Sammelan, Singing, etc. will be organized. In addition to the performers of the country and the state level, local artists are also given a full opportunity to perform their art.

How to Reach:

• By Train
  Ratlam is the nearest railhead (124 km) on the Delhi-Mumbai mainline. Ratlam is a major station and almost all trains stop at the station.
• By Air
  The nearest airport is at Indore, 99 km away. Regular flights connect Indore with Delhi, Mumbai, Gwalior, and Bhopal.
• By Road
  Mandu is connected with other cities by a good road network. Regular bus services connect Mandu with Dhar (35 km), Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain (154 km) and Bhopal (285 km via Indore).

मांडू उत्सव: तैयारियां अंतिम चरण में

मांडू उत्सव की शुरुआत 30 दिसंबर से होना है औऱ इसके पहले आयोजन को लेकर तैयारियां प्रशासन व इवेंट कंपनी की अंतिम चरण में पहुंच चुकी है। पर्यटकों को मांडू की ओर आकर्षित करने के लिए लगातार प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं।

पांच दिवसीय मुख्य आयोजन को लेकर पूरा कार्यक्रम तय हो चुका है जिसके तहत ही हर घंटे पर्यटक कुछ नया करेंगे। साथ ही विशिष्ट व्यंजनों का आनंद भी ले सकेंगे।

तय कार्यक्रम के अनुसार सुबह की शुरुआत हॉट एयर बैलून में सवार होकर होगी व अंत में रात के समय पर्यटक दिनभर की गतिविधियों को लेकर चर्चा हाथ में कॉफी का कप लेकर डायनासोर पार्क में बैठकर कर सकेंगे।

तय कार्यक्रम के अनुसार प्रतिदिन मीरा की जिरात पर सभी साहसिक गतिविधियां होगी, कोरोना काल के बाद एक बार फिर बड़े स्तर पर इस आयोजन की तैयारी हो रही हैं, ताकि सांस्कृतिक एवं लोकप्रिय आयोजन में शुमार होकर मांडू को वैश्विक स्तर पर पहचान मिल सके।

मंचीय कार्यक्रम में शामिल होंगे मंत्री सहित विभागीय अधिकारी:

मांडू में सुबह 6 बजे से ही गतिविधियां शुरु हो जाएगी, किंतु मंचीय कार्यक्रम सहित उत्सव का विधिवत उद्घाटन शाम को होगा। इसके लिए मंच ईको पाइंट के समीप तैयार किया जा रहा है। 30 दिसंबर को शाम सात बजे उद्घाटन प्रदेश की पर्यटन मंत्री उषा ठाकुर, उद्योग मंत्री राजवर्धन सिंह दत्तीगांव, कांग्रेस विधायक पांचीलाल मेड़ा सहित मप्र टूरिज्म विभाग के अधिकारी व जनप्रतिनिधि मौजूद रहेंगे।

सोमवार तक तय हुए आयोजन के अनुसार पहले दिन शाम करीब 7-30 बजे कलाकार नवराज हंस अपनी प्रस्तुति देंगे, इसी तरह दूसरे दिन कवि सम्मेलन, तीसरे दिन इंडियन ओशियन बैंड, चौथे दिन प्रेम जोशुआ व अंतिम दिन अहमदाबाद के मुक्त बैंड का आनंद भी पर्यटक लेंगे। इन विशेष प्रस्तुतियों के साथ ही अन्य कलाकार भी प्रस्तुति देंगे।

खुरासानी इमली के पेड़ की सजावट:

मालवा-निमाड़ के क्षेत्र में प्रसिद्ध इमली खुरासानी होती है। इसके सबसे अधिक पेड़ मांडू में पाए जाते हैं, ऐसे में मांडू पहुंच मार्ग के करीब 20 से अधिक पेड़ इवेंट कंपनी के लोगों ने चिन्हित किए हैं जिन्हें लाइट लगाकर, अलग-अलग कलर के धागे से विशेष रुप से सजाया जा रहा है।

इसी तरह फूड कोर्ट भी बनकर तैयार हो चुका है। इस पूरे फेस्टिवल के दौरान मांडू में तीन स्थानों पर बड़ी वाहन पार्किंग की व्यवस्था पुलिस विभाग द्वारा की गई है, ताकि साल के अंत व नए साल के शुरुआती दिनों में बड़ी संख्या में आने वाले पर्यटकों को जाम की स्थिति से परेशान नहीं होना पड़े।

साथ ही जामा मस्जिद से आयोजन स्थल तक जाने के लिए निःशुल्क बस फेरी की सुविधा भी रहेगी। साथ ही सागर तालाब पाथवे पर एक तरफ स्टेज बनाया जा रहा है तो दूसरी ओर फूड जोन रहेगा। इसी तरह रुपायन में हाट शिल्प बाजार भी पर्यटकों के लिए रहेगा।

पद्मश्री दुबे सहित अन्य कवि करेंगे पाठ:

पांच दिवसीय आयोजन के दौरान गतिविधियों सहित सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम होंगे, वहीं प्रशासन का पूरा फोकस इस मर्तबा कवि सम्मेलन पर है। इस मर्तबा साल के अंतिम दिन 31 दिसंबर को कवि सम्मेलन का बड़े स्तर पर आयोजन किया जा रहा है।

शाम सात बजे से शुरू होने वाला कवि सम्मेलन नए साल के पहले दिन 1 जनवरी तक चलता रहेगा। इस तरह कविताओं के बीच साल का अंत होगा व शुरुआत हंसी ठहाकों से होगी।

कवि सम्मेलन में शामिल होने के लिए पद्मश्री डॉ. सुरेंद्र दुबे (हास्य कवि) रायपुर, संदीप शर्मा, डॉ. रुचि चतुर्वेदी (श्रृंगार रस), अशोक सुंदरी (लाफ्टर चैलेंज फेम), पंकज प्रसून, धीरज शर्मा सहित अन्य कवि अपनी कविताओं का पाठ करेंगे।

मांडू में होने जा रहे अखिल भारतीय हास्य कवि सम्मेलन में कभी हंसी और ठहाकों की गूंज तो कभी गंभीर कटाक्ष भी कवियों के माध्यम से होंगे।

मांडू के स्थानीय लोगों को भी मिलेगा रोजगार:

वही मांडू उत्सव को लेकर इवेंट कंपनी द्वारा स्थानीय लोगों को भी रोजगार दिया जा रहा है। इवेंट कंपनी यहां के स्थानीय मजदूरों से वहां होने वाले कार्यक्रमों की तैयारी करवा रही है। इनको मांडू उत्सव के बहाने रोजगार से भी जोड़ दिया गया है।
