पहला प्रसंग – सभी लोग भक्ति क्यों नहीं कर पाते हैं?
एक दिन रामकृष्ण परमहंस के एक शिष्य ने पूछा कि इंसान के मन में सांसारिक चीजों को पाने की और इच्छाओं को लेकर व्याकुलता रहती है। व्यक्ति इन इच्छाओं को पूरा करने के लिए लगातार कोशिश करता है। ऐसी व्याकुलता भगवान को पाने की, भक्ति करने की क्यों नहीं होती है?
परमहंसजी ने जवाब दिया कि व्यक्ति अज्ञानता की वजह से भक्ति नहीं कर पाता है। अधिकतर लोग सांसारिक वस्तुओं को पाने के भ्रम में उलझे रहते हैं, मोह-माया में फंसे होने की वजह से व्यक्ति भगवान की ओर ध्यान नहीं दे पाता है। इसके बाद शिष्य ने फिर पूछा कि ये भ्रम और काम वासनाओं को कैसे दूर किया जा सकता है?
परमहंसजी ने जवाब दिया कि सांसारिक वस्तुएं भोग हैं और जब तक भोग का अंत नहीं होगा, तब तक व्यक्ति भगवान की ओर मन नहीं लगा पाएगा। उन्होंने उदाहरण देते हुए समझाया कि कोई बच्चा खिलौने से खेलने में व्यस्त रहता है और अपनी मां को याद नहीं करता है। जब उसका मन खिलौने से भर जाता है या उसका खेल खत्म हो जाता है, तब उसे मां की याद आती है। यही स्थिति हमारे साथ भी है।
जब तक हमारा मन सांसारिक वस्तुओं और कामनाओं के खिलौनों में उलझा रहेगा, तब तक हमें भी अपनी मां यानी परमात्मा का ध्यान नहीं आएगा। भगवान को पाने के लिए, भक्ति के लिए हमें भोग-विलास से दूरी बनानी पड़ेगी, तभी हम भगवान की ओर ध्यान दे पाएंगे।
दूसरा प्रसंग – जो लोग नियमों को तोड़ते हैं, उन्हें दंड जरूर मिलता है
एक दिन रामकृष्ण परमहंस अपने शिष्यों के साथ बैठे थे। वे धर्म और अध्यात्म से जुड़ी बातें कर रहे थे। तभी एक शिष्य ने कहा कि ये सृष्टि इतनी बड़ी है। यहां इतनी विविधता है, फिर भी संपूर्ण सृष्टि पूरे नियंत्रण के साथ चल रही है, ऐसा कैसे हो रहा है?
परमहंसजी ने जवाब दिया कि इस सृष्टि की रचना परमात्मा ने की है और उनका पूरा नियंत्रण है इस पर। ईश्वर के नियमों में जरा भी ढील नहीं है, उनका कानून बहुत सख्त है। जो जैसा करेगा, उसे वैसा ही फल मिलेगा।
जंगल में अंसख्य जानवर हैं, सभी को अपना अस्तित्व बनाए रखने के लिए संघर्ष करना पड़ता है और सभी अच्छी तरह करते भी हैं। ये शक्ति भगवान ने ही दी है। आकाश में असंख्य ग्रह-नक्षत्र हैं, सभी अपनी धूरी पर अपने नियमों के साथ टिके हुए हैं। एक भी ग्रह सृष्टि के नियमों से अलग नहीं जाता है। हमारे में समाज में असंख्य लोग हैं, सभी की सोच अलग है, लेकिन एक-दूसरे से प्रेम और मैत्री भाव के साथ रहते हैं। जो लोग सृष्टि के नियमों को तोड़ता है, प्रकृति उन्हें दंड जरूर देती है।
ये पूरी सृष्टि परम पिता परमेश्वर का परिवार है, सभी पर भगवान का नियंत्रण है। यहां सभी को अपने नियमों का पालन सख्ती से करना ही पड़ता है। इसीलिए हमें गलत कामों से बचना चाहिए, वरना प्रकृति के नियम बहुत कठोर हैं।
तीसरा प्रसंग – भक्ति में किसी एक रास्ते पर आगे बढ़ते रहना चाहिए
एक चर्चित प्रसंग के अनुसार एक बार रामकृष्ण परमहंस अपने शिष्य से बात कर रहे थे। तब उन्होंने कहा कि ईश्वर एक ही है, उस तक पहुंचने के मार्ग अलग-अलग हैं। इसीलिए हमें सभी धर्मों का सम्मान करना चाहिए, क्योंकि सभी धर्मों का लक्ष्य एक ही है ईश्वर तक पहुंचना। भक्ति के तरीके-तरीके अलग-अलग हो सकते हैं।
ये बात सुनकर शिष्य ने कहा कि हम ये कैसे मान सकते हैं कि सभी रास्ते एक ही लक्ष्य तक पहुंच रहे हैं? परमहंसजी ने कहा कि सभी रास्ते सत्य हैं। किसी भी एक रास्ते पर दृढ़ता से आगे बढ़ते रहने से एक दिन हम ईश्वर को प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। उन्होंने शिष्य को समझाते हुए कहा कि किसी अनजाने घर की छत पर पहुंचना कठिन है। छत पर पहुंचने के कई रास्ते हो सकते हैं, जैसे सीढ़ियों से, रस्सी से या किसी बांस के सहारे हम ऊपर पहुंच सकते हैं। हमें इनमें से किसी एक रास्ते को चुनना होगा। जब एक बार किसी तरह छत पर पहुंच जाते हैं तो सारी स्थितियां स्पष्ट नजर आती हैं। नीचे से ऊपर देखने पर जो रास्ते भ्रमित कर रहे थे, वे ऊपर से नीचे देखने पर एकदम साफ-साफ दिखाई देते हैं।
हमें भक्ति करते समय किसी एक रास्ते पर दृढ़तापूर्वक आगे बढ़ते रहना चाहिए। अलग-अलग रास्तों को देखकर भटकना नहीं चाहिए। तभी ईश्वर की प्राप्ति हो सकती है।
