The light of the sun changes the water into vapor and vapor rises into the sky with air. The temperature of earth’s atmosphere gets cooler as we go up. So after getting to a certain height the air laden with vapor cools. It cannot hold its moisture in the form of vapor. Consequently the extra part of moisture changes into very small bits of ice or water. This process forms the clouds.
