It is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy horror film written and directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios. It serves as a spiritual sequel to both Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022). Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan reprise their roles from the previous films, and are joined by Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri. It is set in Kolkata, West Bengal.
The film was officially announced in March 2023. Principal photography took place from March to August 2024 in Mumbai, Kolkata, Orchha, and Leh, with cinematography by Manu Anand. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is scheduled for a theatrical release on 1 November 2024, coinciding with Diwali.

The third installment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise was officially announced on 1 March 2023, through a teaser released by T-Series. The teaser announcement marked the collaboration of producer Bhushan Kumar, director Anees Bazmee, and actor Kartik Aaryan once again, with Aaryan returning in the lead role as Rooh Baba. Anees Bazmee returns as both the director and writer for the film.
