Deva: Movie Overview
Deva is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Rosshan Andrrews and written by the duo Bobby–Sanjay, marking their debuts in Hindi cinema. The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde. It is produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films.
The film was officially announced in May 2023. Principal photography began in October 2023 in Mumbai and wrapped by September 2024. The music is composed by Sachet–Parampara, while Jakes Bejoy provided the score.
Deva is scheduled to release on 31 January 2025.
After filming was completed, the film entered into an extensive post-production phase.
The soundtrack album for Deva was composed by the duo Sachet–Parampara, in their first collaboration with Rosshan and third with Kapoor. Lyrics are written by Irshad Kamil. The original score was composed by Jakes Bejoy, in his third collaboration with the director. The music rights were bagged by Zee Music Company.
Deva was scheduled to release on 14 February 2025, coinciding Valentine’s Day. The film was earlier scheduled to release on 11 October 2024, coinciding Dussehra but was eventually postponed to 14 February 2025. Now film preponed to theatrical release on 31 January 2025.
The digital streaming rights were acquired by ZEE5 and the satellite rights by Zee Cinema.
