Nine Months Movie Review

Nine Months is a beautiful movie that shows the transition of a carefree guy into a matured and responsible man, when his girlfriend gets pregnant. It stars Hugh Grant, Julianne Moore, Robin Williams and Joan Cusack. The movie was directed by Chris Columbus and was released in 1995. Read on to know the complete summary and story of Nine Months…

Samuel Falkner (Hugh Grant) is a child psychiatrist and a completely carefree guy with no responsibilities. He has no kids and is also in no need of them. He gets the shock of his life when he comes to know that his girlfriend (of five years), Rebecca Taylor (Julianne Moore), is pregnant. He starts having nightmares of what his life would be like after marriage and fatherhood. Adding to his miseries is Gail Dwyer (Joan Cusack), a friend of Rebecca who seems to be chronically pregnant.

Scared of commitment and responsibility, he advice Rebecca to abort the child. However, when he sees the ultra sound of his soon-to-be-born son, he realizes that he wants to accept this responsibility. Robin Williams also has a small role in Nine Months. He plays the part of Dr. Kosevich, an obstetrician, with a weak grasp of the English language and helps in bringing a few funny moments in the movie.
