Black Cat

Black CatThe black cat has suffered much from evil superstition ever since the Romans brought it to England.

In fact, like most of its kind, the Black Cat, when loved and well treated, is an affectionate, good tempered animal.

It is only when angered that its blazing, yellow eyes give it a demon look. Lying by the fire of dozing on your knee, it is a picture of comfortable companionship.

There is the story of a Black Cat that had her kittens in a nest made by two hens in a stable.

The hens, far from minding, took the kittens under their wings and clucked for them to come and eat their bread and milk!
