Rishi Panchami Images For Students, Children: Rishi Panchami is the fifth day, usually observed two days after Hartalika Teej and next day after Ganesh Chaturthi day in Bhadrapad month of the Lunar calendar. It is a traditional worship of Sapta Rishi. The seven sages – Kashyapa, Atri, Bharadhvaja, Vishvamitra, Gauthama, Jamadagni and Vashishta.
Rishi Panchmi is celebrated with great joy and festivity in different parts of India as well as in Nepal. Different places have distinct significance for the festival. Mainly, the festival is celebrated in honor of Sapta Rishis.
Rishi Panchami Story
ऋषि पंचमी का व्रत भाद्र पद की शुक्ल पंचमी को किया जाता है। इस दिन सप्तऋषियों की पूजा की जाती है। यह व्रत गणेश चतुर्थी के अगले दिन और हरतालिका तीज के दूसरे दिन किया जाता है। इस व्रत के बारे में ब्रह्माजी ने राजा सिताश्व को बताया था। एक बार राजा सिताश्व ने ब्रह्माजी से ऐसे व्रत के बारे में जानना चाहा जिसके करने से प्राणियों के समस्त पापों का नाश हो जाता है। तब ब्रह्माजी ने उन्हें ऋषि पंचमी के व्रत के बारे में बताया।
