A Robins Prayer

Water isn’t very nice,
When it’s cold and turns to ice.
That is when you’iv got to think
Of all we birds who want a drink.

When the snow is thick and deep,
Sometimes then, we birds must weep.
There is no food for us to eat
Unless you’iv left a tasty treat.

Please put fresh water in a dish
And we can have some if we wish.
A plate of crumbs is all we need
Then we can have a lovely feed.

So please kind children everywhere,
Listen to a Robin’s prayer,
Help keep us safe, all winter long,
That we may sing our new Spring song.
