रामचन्द्रजी की आरती – Lord Rama is the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu and had taken birth on earth to put an end to the forces of evil of the age. He is a symbol of chivalry and virtue and in the words of Swami Vivekananda, he is “the embodiment of truth, of morality, the ideal son, the ideal husband, and above all, the ideal king.” His exploits form the great Hindu epic of Ramayana, written by the ancient Sanskrit poet Valmiki. He is represented as a standing figure with an arrow in his right hand, a bow in his left and a quiver on his back. He is usually accompanied by his wife Sita, brother Lakshman and the legendary monkey-attendant Hanuman. Adorned with a tilak on the forehead, his dark or almost bluish complexion denotes his affinity with Lord Vishnu.
