The Pakistani Eastern Command signed the Instrument of Surrender, led by General Amir Abdullah Niazi. The Indian Army captured around 93,000 Pakistani soldiers, including 79,676 to 81,000 uniformed personnel and 10,324 to 12,500 civilians.
