Happy Rainy Day: Sohini was extremely happy. She was jumping all around the house with excitement.
She happily looked outside the window once more. The sky was covered with dark clouds and cool breeze was blowing gently.
Sohini ran to her mother and said – “Can I wear my new raincoat? It is about to rain.”
Mother laughingly said – “But where will you go wearing your raincoat?”

Sohini replied – “I have looked out of the window a hundred times since morning. I am sure it will rain. I will go to our garden.”
Mummy smiled and said – “But come back soon”.
Sohini laughed while running and quickly opened her cupboard.
Her heart skipped a beat at the sight of a sky blue raincoat decorated with green and orange flowers.
She kissed the raincoat lovingly and said – “My dearest one. You will always be with me.”
Then Sohini again looked out of the window after wearing her raincoat.
It was raining heavily.
Sohini ran towards the garden, adjusting her cap.
Rose and Marigold flowers were dancing in the wind.
The rain was pouring down. Sohini stood in the rain. She was running, hopping and trying to sip a few raindrops with her face towards the sky.
Then she started jumping on every puddle.
Mummy was thinking that Sohini was wearing a raincoat so she would not be getting wet and would not catch cold.
But when it was too late, Mummy went to see Sohini in the garden.
She was amazed to see the scene there.
Sohini was not wearing her raincoat and was standing near a guava tree picking up guavas that had fallen on the ground.
Out of anger, mummy ran towards her without her umbrella.
As she was about to shout, Sohini immediately looked at her and whispered – “Mummy, look at them”.
Mummy saw that there were many guavas placed around the corner of the raincoat so that the raincoat would not fly away.
And under the raincoat a small bird and her four cute little chicks chirping and hopping around!
Mummy opened her arms and hugged Sohini with tearful eyes.
Now Mummy and Sohini were getting drenched in the rain happily.
