The Guinness World Records world record for the largest truffle is a Tuber magnatum pico weighing 1,483.596 grams (52.3323 oz) owned by food retailers Luigi and Angelo Dattilo of Appennino Food Spa in cooperation with Vittorio Palombo and Miram Ben Cetic of CTM S.r.l. Campobasso (all Italy). The white truffle was found by an anonymous truffle hunter and his dog in the Apennines woodlands around Savigno, near Bologna, Italy, on 4 November 2014.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest truffle cake is 1,041 kg (2,295 lb) and was made by the Asociacion de pasteleros de Burgos to celebrate the centenary of CAJA CIRCULO in Plaza España, Burgos, Spain, on 19 March 2009. The cake was made by bakers from 6 bakeries in Burgos. It consisted of truffles, choclate, eggs and flour.

The extraordinary tuber was discovered in central Italy and was offered by the Balestra family of Sabatino Truffles who plan to donate proceeds to a number of charitable organizations, including Citymeals-on-Wheels and the Children’s Glaucoma Foundation.
