The Guinness World Records world record for the largest buffet consisted of 5,612 different dishes in an event organised by the Art of Living Foundation (India) at Sri Sri Dham, Ahmedabad, India, on 2 November 2010. The food was prepared by Sri Sri Ayurveda Cooker Club for a large crowd.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest salad bar; it measures 209.742 m (688 ft 1.56 in) in length and was achieved by Jensen Jewelers (USA) at the Saladbowl Bash in Hudsonville, Michigan, USA, on 27 July 2013. The salad weighed 1,077.99 kg (2,376.56 lb) and contained lettuce, carrot, onion, radish, cabbage, zucchini, celery, cucumber and peppers as well as a selection of dressings.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand together with Koh Samui’s public and private sector have successfully set a new World Record for the Largest Buffet during the Samui Festival 2017.

A variety of Thai dishes were prepared by chefs from all over Thailand as the highlight of the world’s largest buffet on Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand together with Koh Samui’s public and private sector organized a 2.5-kilometre-long beach buffet, free and open to the public, arranged on Chaweng Beach as part of the Samui Festival 2017, thus setting the new world record for the Largest buffet.
The activity is in line with the TAT’s gastronomy tourism efforts by promoting Thai food and the country’s culinary potential on a global stage.
