Largest cookie mosaic: Robin Hood breaks Guinness World Records record

Toronto, Canada – February 16, 2016 – The Robin Hood team celebrated Family Day (in Ontario) by achieving the world record title for the Largest cookie mosaic in support of We Bake for Change, an initiative of WE Day; the completed mosaic measured 29.58 feet by 47.71 feet and was comprised of over 13,000 shortbread cookies.

The completed mosaic measured 29.58 feet by 47.71 feet and was comprised of over 13,000 shortbread cookies.

The Guinness World Records world record for the largest cookie mosaic measures 126.21 m² (1,358.51 ft²) and was achieved by The Bright School and MoonPie (USA), in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA, on 29 September 2012.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the tallest pyramid of cookies is 1.49 m (4 ft 10 in) and was achieved by Jan Vinzenz Krause and members of the diocese Essen using 12180 Leibniz butter cookies at the Centro shopping centre in Oberhausen, Germany, on 16 September 2006.

The Robin Hood team celebrated Family Day (in Ontario) by achieving the world record title for the Largest cookie mosaic.

The Robin Hood team is using the event as an opportunity to encourage more youth across the country to register for We Bake for Change – an initiative of WE Day – and host bake sales with their friends and families in support of Free The Children.

The world record title was made in celebration of Family Day (in Toronto, ON) at Evergreen Brick Works. The completed mosaic measured 29.58 feet by 47.71 feet and was comprised of over 13,000 shortbread cookies.
