The Guinness World Records world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as Albert Einstein is 304, achieved by Black Pine Circle School (USA), in Berkeley, California, USA, on 5 March 2015.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people dressed as superheroes; it was achieved by 1,580 participants in an event organised by Paramount Studios to promote the Dreamworks movie ‘Megamind’ starring Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt and Tina Fey in Los Angeles, California, USA on 2 October 2010.
The group of 404 people donned white wigs, fake mustaches and Einstein’s regular wardrobe of a blazer and necktie to set the World Record for “largest gathering of people dressed as Albert Einstein” in Toronto.
Cheers erupted from the crowd and white wigs were flung into the air once the horde of Einsteins were informed they had eclipsed the previous Guinness world record.
The massive world record attempt also marked the beginning of the 2017 Next Einstein competition, which looks for “ideas that make the world a better place.”
“This is a competition all about imagination and innovation and ideas,” President and CEO of Canadian Friends of Hebrew University Rami Kleinmann said.
The winner of the competition is awarded $10,000 to help make their idea a reality.
