The Guinness World Records world record for the most people dressed as superheroes was achieved by 1,580 participants in an event organised by Paramount Studios to promote the Dreamworks movie ‘Megamind’ starring Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt and Tina Fey in Los Angeles, California, USA on 2 October 2010.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people dressed as Smurfs; it was 2,510 and was achieved by Jokers’ Masquerade with the help of Swansea University at Swansea Oceana in Swansea, UK, on 8th June 2009.
Frida Kahlo celebrated her 110th birthday on July 6. Kahlo’s birthday celebration coincided with the final days of the museum’s blockbuster exhibition “México 1900–1950: Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, José Clemente Orozco and the Avant-Garde,” which closes July 16.
The rules for participating were strict: a red or pink shawl, a below-the-knee dress, a crown featuring at least three flowers, and, obviously, the Kahlo unibrow.
There must be two independent witnesses, a log of everyone taking part, and a steward for every 50 people in costume.
