The Guinness World Records world record for the largest iced coffee is 14,228.1 litres (3,129.7 UK gal; 3,758.7 US gal) and was created by Caffé Bene (South Korea), in Yangju, South Korea, on 17 July 2014.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest coffee shop; it is the Al Masaa Café which has 1,050 seats. The coffee shop was inaugurated in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 13 August 2014.

RP & Associates’ Ashley Pola teamed up with Tullamore D.E.W. Whiskey and Fadò Irish Pub in Chicago to set the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Irish Coffee in order to observe and celebrate the holiday.

Tim Herlihy from Termonfeckin, Ireland, oversaw the making of the beverage which comprised of five pounds of sugar, 28 gallons of cream, 150 gallons of coffee and 43 gallons of Tullamore Dew whiskey.

Fourteen burners in four kitchens were used to boil the 100 gallons of water which was added to the 50 gallons of ‘cold brew’, The Irish Mirror reports.

Even the ‘acrylic’ glass had to be made in Las Vegas by an aquarium tank company. It took barmen at the Fado Bar and Restaurant just two hours to fill the glass, which was equivalent to 3,500 normal-sized Irish coffees.
