It accommodates 4,5 thousand people at the same time, and during the season it will be visited by 1,5 million people.
The Guinness World Records world record for the Largest naturally frozen ice rink was set by The Rideau Canal Skateway in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, which is 7.8 km (4.8 miles) long and has a total maintained surface area of 165, 621 m² (1.782 million ft²), which is equivalent to 90 Olympic size skating rinks. This is called an ice rink (as distinguished from any number of other frozen bodies of water) because its entire length received daily maintenance such as sweeping, ice thickness checks and there are toilet and recreational facilities along its entire length.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest conga on ice; it involved 353 participants and was achieved by Ice Rink Canary Wharf (UK) in association with Tresor Paris, in Canary Wharf, London, UK, on 12 November 2013. This event was in aid of the Children in Need charity.

The World’s largest mobile skating ring accommodates 4,5 thousand people at the same time, and during the season it will be visited by 1.5 million people.
There are 1,5 thousand skating rinks in total in the capital, 130 of them will work with an artificial surface this year.
The skating rink is located in Glavnaya Avenue between Friendship of Peoples and Stone Flower fountains. It is separated by the transparent barrier from the other territory of the exhibition. For those who will come here to skate, spacious cloak rooms, pavilions with rental, cafes are provided.
Specifications of a record skating rink:
- The total amount of the water used for filling of an ice surface – 3083 cubic meters
- The number of refrigeration units – 11
- 613922 meters of pipes are laid under the ice of the skating rink (more than five hundred kilometers!)
- The number of visitors on a skating rink at the same time – 4500
Skates can be rented in six pavilions three of them are with cloak rooms. A ticket to the skating rink in the morning costs 200 rub, the maximum price is 800 rub that includes 2 adult tickets and two tickets for children free of charge. The sizes of the skates which can be rented are from the 24th to the 48th, in total more than 6 thousand pairs.
