The Guinness World Records world record for the largest meat pie [crafted out of separate pieces-WRA] weighing 10,540 kg (23,237 lb) was made by 17 catering students from Stratford-upon-Avon College, Warwickshire, UK at the Hand Stadium, Clevedon, Somerset, UK on 12 April 1998.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest mince pie recorded; it was one of 1.02 tonnes (2,260 lb) and baked at Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, UK on 15 October 1932. Measures: 6.1 x 1.5 m (20 x 5 ft).
Chefs from the Swiss hotel management school Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne (EHL), in Lausanne, have created the world’s biggest one-piece meat pie. It took 40 hours to cook and contained 27 different ingredients, including 16 kinds of meat.
It weighed a giant 86.75kg – which is more than the average weight of a man. It was 160cm long, 78cm wide and 11cm high.
