London, United Kingdom – March 6, 2017 – Peter Hill, 60, and John Drew, 62 said cheers as they marked their incredible milestone having visited a boozer every week for the last 33 YEARS; they have spent an eye-watering £182,000, guzzling almost 50,000 ales at 20,000 different pubs across Britain thus setting the new world record for the Longest Pub Crawl.

The Guinness World Records world record for the Most pubs visited was set by Bruce Masters (UK), who has visited 46,495 pubs and various drinking establishments since 1960, sampling the local brew where available, as of 29 January 2014.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest pub crawl; it involved 4,885 participants who visited 10 pubs in Kansas City’s Power and Light District, Missouri, USA, during an event organised by the Crawl for Cancer LLC, on 1 June 2013.

Peter Hill, 60, John Drew, 62 and Malcolm Maynard, 72, said cheers as they marked their incredible milestone having visited a boozer every week for the last 33 YEARS.

Peter and John started the venture in 1984 with Peter’s dad, Joe, after the gang became bored with going to the same pub every week, The Daily Mirror reports.

When the Black Country Ale Tairsters started a pint cost 64p, and after Joe sadly passed away in 2014, Peter and John have kept up the tradition.

There are 44,000 pubs in the UK and the pair are hoping to visit the whole lot eventually.
