USA Guinness World Records: Longest Ramp Jump by a Truck Cab

Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA – September 4, 2016 – American Bryce Menzies broke the Guinness World Record for the longest ramp jump by a truck cab in New Mexico, leaping 115 metres (379.4 feet) in his Pro 2 race truck.

The Guinness World Records world record for the The longest ramp jump by a truck cab measured 50.60 m (166 ft), and was completed by Gregg Godfrey (USA), at Evel Knievel Days Event, in Butte, Montana, USA, on 24 July 2015.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest parade of tow trucks; it consisted of 324 tow trucks and was organized by Worldwide Equipment Sales Tow Trucks for Tots (USA). The trucks participated in a parade from Joliet to Bridgeview, Illinois, USA, on 13 November 2011.

Bryce Menzies made history by jumping his off-road truck 379.4 feet over a New Mexico ghost town to set a new truck distance record.

The project, entitled “Bryce Menzies New Frontier powered by Pennzoil® Synthetics,” saw Menzies launch ramp-to-ramp in his Pro 2 (two-wheel drive) race truck, soaring past the official Guinness World Records distance record of 301 feet as well as the unofficial record of 332 feet.

“I’m extremely happy with the outcome,” Menzies said.

“We broke a world record, which is incredible, we went 379 feet flying a truck.

“This has been my dream and to see it come to life was surreal – it was one of the greatest moments of my life.”
