Longest Shout

Bucharest, Romania – July 5, 2017 – The longest shout is 52,03 sec. and was achieved by Ilie Dobre, sports commentator for the Radio Romania News (Romania’s National State Radio), at Studio 23 at Radio Romania, in Bucharest, Romania, on 7 March 2017; Ilie Dobre shouted the word “Goal,” thus setting the new world record for the Longest shout without respiration (in studio).

The Guinness World Records world record for the longest career as a radio producer is 55 years and was achieved by Oswaldo Enrique Yepes Peña (Venezuela) who began his career on Hit Parade de Venezuela in 1957 and has continued to work on the same show until 11 Oct. 2012. Hit Parade de Venezuela celebrated its 55th year of transmission in 24 August 2012.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the youngest radio presenter; it is Kimberley Perez (b. 20 February 1998) (USA) who hosts a show every Saturday 3-7pm, on KLAX 97.9 La Raza FM, in Los Angeles, California, USA, which started when she was 5 years old.

“This new world record is totally different from my previous records. It was set in the studio, because I wanted to obtain a better length, without breathing, Ilie Dobre said.

“On the Stadium, during live broadcasts of different official football (soccer) matches, I already established all the possible records: 27 seconds, 35.6 seconds without breathing, 1 minute and 8 seconds with only one breath.

“When setting such a shout record record without breathing, the tonality of the voice can be lower than the tone used when broadcasting live a football match on the stadium. This type of record (studio recording) make a greater length possible.”
