Most behind-the-back catches: Antonio Brown breaks Guinness World Records record

Washington, DC, USA – February 22, 2016 – Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins teamed up with All-Pro Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown during Super Bowl week to break the Guinness World Records record for the amount of behind the back catches in a minute; Cousins and Brown hooked up for 27 behind the back catches, thus setting the new world record for the most behind-the-back catches in one minute (NFL).

The Guinness World Records world record for the most football neck catches in one minute is 35 and was achieved by Sinan Öztürk (Germany) in Mittweida, Saxony, Germany, on 13 November 2014.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most behind-the-back flying disc catches in one minute; it is 24 and was achieved by Tim Habenicht and Daniel Habenicht (both USA) in College Station, Texas, USA on 6 May 2012. Daniel was assigned as thrower and Tim as the catcher.

“Kirk aiming for the butt, great strategy, perfect position to get my hands behind my back. We did it,” Brown said.

“I always wondered when I was born if I would do something special, and today I think I have,” Cousins said laughing.

Cousins and Brown previously set the Guinness World Record for one handed catches with 40.
