The Guinness World Records world record for the largest haggis weighed 1,010 kg (2,226 lb 10 oz) and was made by Hall’s of Scotland (UK) at Fenton Barns, North Berwick, UK, on 18 June 2014. The haggis measured 2.8 m (9 ft 2 in) in length, 0.93 m (3 ft) in width and 0.65 m (2 ft 1 in) in height.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest scotch egg weighed 6.2 kg (13 lb 10 oz) and was made by Clarence Court and Lee Streeton (both UK) at the Albemarle of Rocco Forte’s Brown’s Hotel, London, UK, on 30 July 2008. A 1.7 kg ostrich egg, 4 kg of sausage meat, 940 g of haggis and 800 g of breadcrumbs were used.

It contains Highland wagyu beef from hand-reared cattle in Perthshire; white summer truffle from France, tellicherry black pepper from India, which Macsween said can only be grown at over 2,000ft above sea level; and is decorated with edible 24 carat gold to sprinkled on top.

The 4kg haggis is being made to order and will be presented in a handmade wooden cask.
