China Guinness World Records: Most people doing chair-based exercise

Hong Kong, China – June 20, 2016 – ACWF Hong Kong Delegates Association organized a special chair aerobics activity in the city’s Shatian District, to call on women to maintain a healthy diet and develop good exercise habits; participants wore pink t-shirts and sat on chairs neatly inside the Parliament Building of Shimen County, doing aerobic gymnastics; a total of 731 women participated, setting the new world record for the Most people doing chair-based exercise.

The Guinness World Records world record for the largest Zumbatomic® class involved 2,117 participants, achieved by Jennifer Ward and the Warrick County School Corporation (both USA) in Newburgh, Indiana, USA, on 19 September 2014.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest yoga lesson involved 35,985 participants at an event organised by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India (India) on the occasion of the first International Day of Yoga, on Rajpath, New Delhi, India, on 21 June 2015.

ACWF Hong Kong Delegates Association organized a special chair aerobics activity in the city’s Shatian District on June 11, to call on women to maintain a healthy diet and develop good exercise habits, the womenofchina.cn reports.

During the event, held to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the founding of the association, participants wore pink t-shirts and sat on chairs neatly inside the Parliament Building of Shimen County, doing aerobic gymnastics.

A total of 731 women participated, updating the Guinness World records world record for the most people doing chair-based exercise, a record set by 481 Americans in 2014.
