The Guinness World Records world record for the longest duration to spin a fidget spinner on the nose is 1 min 46 sec, and was achieved by Halden Rhorer (USA) at the BuzzFeed office in New York, New York, USA, on 24 May 2017.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most fidget spinner behind the back passes in 30 seconds; it is 22, achieved by Juan “Juanito” Esteban Cardona (Colombia) in Los Angeles, California, USA, on 29 June 2017.
More than 400 students of Bell Block Primary packed into their school hall on Friday afternoon armed with fidget spinners and a goal to set the World Record for the most people to spin the gadget, which has become the latest national craze, The Taranaki Daily News reports.
The Sport Taranaki Skills4Life team have been working with Bell Block Primary School. One of the challenges put to the students was to make or break a world record. The student council came up with trying to make a world record for the most people fidget spinning in one place for 30 seconds.
A digital clock timed the twiddling mob as they spun for 30 seconds while dancing to “intense suspenseful background” music.

The event was run in conjunction with Sports Taranaki, which pitched the idea of setting or breaking a world record to the students a few months back.
