Oldest living person with Down’s syndrome: UK set World Record

London, United Kingdom – February 27, 2017 – Kenny Cridge, who was given a life expectancy of just 12, and who has outlived his twin sister and his brother, celebrated his 77th birthday along with his caregivers in the UK; he sets the new world record for the Oldest living person with Down’s syndrome.

Photo: The world’s oldest person with Down’s syndrome has celebrated his 77th birthday at his care home. Kenny Cridge was born in 1939 and doctors initially thought he was stillborn when he arrived with his twin sister Dorothy. 

The Guinness World Records world record for the most expired medicine collected in 24 hours (multiple locations) is 1,072.6 kg (2,364.68 pounds) and was achieved by Guangzhou Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Holdings Co., Ltd. (China), in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, on 11 March 2014. The medicine was collected in 10 different locations.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest living hydrocephalic; it is Theresa Alvina Schaan (Canada) who was born on the 17 March 1941 and diagnosed with having congenital hydrocephalus.

He celebrated the incredible milestone at the Wisteria House care home in Tintinhull, Yeovil, Somerset.

Its manager Ann Nicholson, said: “Since his birthday last year, he has maintained general good health with no significant changes. “He is happy and always has a smile for everyone – Kenny can brighten anyone’s day with his smile and his laughter.

“He’s very affectionate and loves having kisses and cuddles, he often says ‘cuddle me’. “Kenny is one in a million and we are so lucky to have him in our lives at Wisteria House.”
